I was Dakota’s original Resident DJ up until earlier this year (2016), I developed the bars musical format, extrapolated, and instrumented from 4 suggestions given to me at the time of a few weeks pre-opening. Those suggestions were Willy Nelson’s On The Road, Juice Newton’s Queen of Hearts, Dolly Parton’s Jolene and Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire. From these suggestions I developed and delivered a format encompassing current Nashville Pop, Old School Rockabilly (Carl Perkins, anyone), Classic Rock, Modern Rock and good old classic Country and Western.
